Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit,
People will happily lose a weekend to an epic video game, guiding a hero through ruined worlds, solving puzzles, and chasing one more objective after another. The same people will not give five minutes willingly to an ESG compliance training deck. The gap? The issue lies neither with the audience nor with the subject. It is with the form.
The ESG Odyssey is our answer. We took one of the driest, most box-ticking topics in corporate learning and asked a simple question: what if ESG were an epic quest worth playing?
Then we built it. A complete four-part learning experience, with an original story world, a voiced cast, cinematic sequences and game mechanics carrying the teaching, ready to be shaped around the ESG policies of the organisation that runs it.
ESG is usually taught as definitions and obligations. We rebuilt it into a journey with clear objectives and stakes. The learner becomes a time traveller, recruited by a guide and sent back through a temporal gateway on a mission to shape a more sustainable future. We also introduced the bad guy of the story, DystoSeed, a creeping force that personifies the damage done when ESG responsibilities are neglected. DystoSeed will do everything it can to block the learner's mission. To weaken it, the learner must travel through three eras and recover four shards, learning the principles of ESG by living their consequences. Environmental, Social and Governance are not chapters in a manual here; they are three worlds to be saved.
The first job of game-led learning is to bring the learner somewhere they want to be. We built the Odyssey as a set of worlds to explore, with a visual identity closer to a game than a course: a mentor's lab, a time machine, lush environments in their prime and the same worlds under threat. DystoSeed gives the learner an antagonist, a reason the learning matters and a sense of urgency that is felt, something a progress bar can never manufacture.
That world then bears the three pillars of ESG, one quest at a time.
A mentor by your side
Nobody starts an epic odyssey such as this alone. From the opening minutes a guide welcomes the learner, thanks them for their courage, sets up the time machine and stays with them throughout, explaining, encouraging and framing each quest.
Mentor-led storytelling does quiet but important work in learning. It gives the experience a voice and a relationship, turns instruction into conversation, and provides the learner a companion to carry them from one challenge to the next. The mentor is the thread that makes four separate chapters feel like one continuous journey.
Learning by playing
Every ESG principle in the Odyssey is something the learner does. They catch falling oil droplets against the clock to grasp the cost of pollution. They assess social trade-offs in light of competing community priorities. They respond to a governance crisis in real time. Branching choices give them agency; scenario feedback teaches in the moment. And the shard-collection goal gives the whole arc a shape and a finish line. The knowledge checks are part of the story rather than a test bolted on at the end.
This is the heart of the design: engagement is not decoration on top of learning; it is what makes the learning happen. When a learner cares whether the river is saved, the lesson about water pollution lands and stays.
The Odyssey was designed to travel. The story world, the mentor, the villain and the game mechanics form a frame that holds, while the substance inside it is yours to set.
Your policies. Silverwood, Redfield and Future Corp are vessels. The scenarios inside them can be rewritten around your ESG commitments, your code of conduct, your reporting obligations and the risk areas your compliance team actually worries about.
Your sector. A bank, a manufacturer and a university carry different governance exposures. The quests can be re-scripted for the decisions your people genuinely face, without rebuilding the world around them.
Your people. Voice, language and cultural context can be tuned for the markets you operate in, and the four parts can be run as one continuous journey or released as separate chapters across a programme.
Your systems. The build is responsive across desktop and mobile, and we scope hosting and platform integration with your L&D team at the outset.
Adapting the Odyssey is faster and less costly than commissioning a world from nothing, because the hard part, the world, is already built.
The ESG Odyssey shows what corporate learning becomes when it borrows seriously from games and storytelling rather than gesturing at them. The world-building, character work, animation and game design in it are the standard we bring to a brief, and it carries a belief that runs through everything we make: even the heaviest subject can earn a learner's attention if it is designed as an experience worth having.
It also holds a conviction we build in from the first conversation: engagement and content have to be designed together, advancing in step. The richest world still rises or falls on writing as alive as the design around it, and that is precisely how we scope an experience.
We are proud of the craft in it, and just as interested in the thinking behind it. Also, we had fun.
The Odyssey is best understood by playing it. We will walk you through the experience, the mechanics and the decisions behind them, then talk about how it could carry your organisation's ESG programme. If your subject is something else your people are required to learn but rarely want to, bring that instead. There is almost always a more engaging way to teach it.
